Pocket Performance is now live on Google Play. It is powered by a 7-layer telemetry system plus vehicle calibration for serious phone-only performance testing, including higher-speed 100–200 pull measurement.
Pocket Performance is built for drivers who want more than rough guesswork and more than flashy claims. The system is designed around one goal: serious phone-only performance testing that feels credible, competitive, and repeatable.
Instead of pretending to read data the app does not actually record, Pocket Performance focuses on the numbers that matter most for real performance testing: speed, timing, distance, calibrated 100–200 speed crossing, proof video, and public leaderboard competition.
The same testing approach that powers private runs also feeds into the public Pocket Performance leaderboards, where users can compare qualifying results across the boards and see how their build stacks up against other racers.
Vehicle calibration
Pocket Performance uses vehicle calibration to help the app line up more closely with the way a specific car behaves in the real world. This matters because different vehicles, tyres, gearing, drivetrains, and road conditions can all influence how speed builds and how a run feels when you are trying to put down a clean result.
Calibration is there to help create a stronger testing baseline for that individual vehicle before serious performance runs begin. The result is a phone-only workflow built around consistency, better confidence, and more believable performance measurement.
7-layer telemetry system
Pocket Performance is powered by a 7-layer telemetry system plus vehicle calibration for serious phone-only performance testing. The telemetry stack is designed to work alongside calibration so the app can produce stronger speed, timing, and distance results during private testing and public leaderboard competition.
This is not about fake dashboard theatre. It is about combining a deeper phone-based telemetry approach with car-specific calibration logic so the system is better prepared for serious runs, proof capture, and competitive uploads.
Calibrated speed crossing points
For 100–200 testing, Pocket Performance uses the calibrated speed crossing points rather than asking the driver to hold steady at 100. The timer starts when calibrated speed crosses 100 and stops when calibrated speed crosses 200.
That makes the event better suited to real higher-speed pull testing, where the car may already be accelerating before the measured window begins. It also keeps 100–200 separate from standing-start launch wording, traffic-light start wording, and false-start wording.

Phone-only performance testing
Pocket Performance is built for serious phone-only speed, timing, and distance testing. That means the experience is designed around what a driver can do with their phone and the app itself, without pretending the app is reading hidden ECU channels or workshop-grade powertrain diagnostics.
The focus stays on performance testing that makes sense for the app: run measurement, timing, speed progression, distance targets, in-motion acceleration pulls, proof capture, saved results, and leaderboard competition.

Runs the app is built to measure
Pocket Performance supports the performance figures drivers actually care about when they line up to test a build:
0–62, 0–100, 100–200, 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, and top speed.
These are the headline numbers used across private runs, saved run history, proof-video uploads, challenge features, and the public boards.

100–200 and leaderboard confidence
100–200 results rely on a clean measured window between the 100 and 200 speed crossings. Confidence still matters, because a weak or unstable run should not be treated the same as a strong verified result.
Low Confidence or Invalid runs should not be treated as public proof runs for leaderboard, challenge, or brag-card purposes. Verified 100–200 runs can be used for public board competition when they meet the qualifying rules.

Proof videos
Pocket Performance can capture proof videos where supported and where the user enables those features. This gives users a stronger way to show what happened on a run and makes public leaderboard uploads more meaningful when a qualifying result is backed by visible run footage.

Leaderboard confidence
Public leaderboard competition is not just about posting a number. Pocket Performance also uses leaderboard confidence as part of the broader public run picture. What Pocket Performance does not claim to record
Pocket Performance does not make fake claims about ECU data, torque, engine temperatures, oil temperatures, boost maps, hidden vehicle channels, or any other data the app does not actually record.
